Pink and full of flavour, this is the berry French toast you’ll fall in love with after the first bite! A simple recipe that will work with any bread, so it’s up to you whether you choose brioche, white bread, whole wheat or classic French toast.

200ml milk

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 slices bread
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
For berry sugar
100 grams freeze-dried strawberries
50 grams white sugar or granulated sweetener

Make The Berry Sugar
First, prepare the pink sugar for the coating. In a blender, combine the freeze-dried strawberries and sugar and blend to a powder. Set aside.

Now It's Toast Time!
In a medium bowl, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon and a bit of salt. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and melt the butter in it. Then coat each slice of bread in the egg mixture and fry on both sides in the pan until golden. Then, while still hot, coat the toast in the berry sugar mixture. Serve with maple syrup, fresh fruit and a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
