This Homemade Chicken Nuggets recipe takes 30 minutes to make for an easy, kid-friendly dinner. We’re talking about juicy, flavorful bites of ground chicken infused with a blend of spices and herbs. Oh, the aroma when they’re air frying, the sweet paprika and onion powder melding together – it’s mouth-wateringly good.

Each nugget is coated with a delicate layer of corn flour, providing a golden and satisfying crunch with every bite. Sprinkled with fresh parsley, these beauties emerge from the air fryer not only looking picture-perfect, but also offering a taste that’s downright addictive.

Forget the frozen food aisle; your kids are going to be begging you for these homemade goodies. And guess what? They’re not just for kids! Grown-ups, you’re going to want to snag a few for yourself before they’re all gone – trust me.

Directions

1.
In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, ground black pepper, sweet paprika, salt, onion powder, and chopped parsley. Mix these ingredients thoroughly until everything is well incorporated. Start forming small nugget-sized pieces with the mixture (To make the nuggets easier to shape, wet your hands lightly to prevent the mixture from sticking). You can do this by taking a small amount of the mixture and rolling it into a ball with your hands. Flatten the ball slightly to give it a nugget shape. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used up.

2.
Next, pour the corn flour into a separate plate. One by one, coat each chicken nugget with the corn flour. Ensure each nugget is evenly coated on all sides. It's time to cook the nuggets. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C. Arrange the nuggets in a single layer in your air fryer, ensuring they're not touching. Air fry the nuggets for about 20 minutes, or until they're golden brown and fully cooked through. Make sure to turn them halfway through the cooking process to ensure even cooking. Serve with ketchup or any favorite sauce!

Notes
If you want to make nuggets a little more textured, you can use finely chopped chicken breast instead of ground chicken.
If you're finding the mixture a little sticky when shaping, wetting your hands with a bit of water can help make the process easier.
Make sure the nuggets are placed in a single layer in the air fryer and not touching. This helps to ensure that they cook evenly.
If you don't have corn flour, you could use breadcrumbs, Panko, or even crushed corn flakes as a coating for a different texture.
Store leftover chicken nuggets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
