Korean Fried Rice Recipe

Adjust Servings
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 large onion
8 thin slices of bacon
250 grams green beans
1 small carrot - shredded
500 grams cooked rice
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
For the Sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon gochujang
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon minced garlic

Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, sugar, and minced garlic. Set aside for later use. This sauce will add a unique depth and spiciness to your fried rice.

Add Veggies:
Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the sliced bacon pieces. Sauté until crispy.
Add sliced onions, green beans, carrots. Cook until the vegetables are tender but still crisp. The beans should be bright green, and the carrots should retain a slight crunch.

Add the cooked rice to the skillet. Sprinkle with salt and stir to combine. Let the rice cook for a few minutes until it starts to get crispy, stirring occasionally. While the rice is cooking, in a separate pan prepare 4 fried eggs.
Pour the prepared gochujang sauce over the rice. Stir everything together until the rice is evenly coated with the sauce. Allow the fried rice to cook for another minute or two, so the flavors meld together. Once everything is heated through and combined, remove the skillet from the heat. Serve hot with fried egg on top.
