This recipe for Crispy Honey & Garlic Chickpeas is not only an easy vegan and gluten-free snack, but also a great topping for salads!

400 grams chickpeas
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1teaspoon olive oil
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Drain and dry chickpeas very well. I usually use a paper towel and try to dry them as much as possible. Put the dried chickpeas in a bowl, add the olive oil, salt and all the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour the chickpeas into the air fryer and bake at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes until crispy.

    Hi Anne, I don’t have an air fryer. Can I just use an oven? Will they turn out the same or will the organoleptic properties differ?

      Hi Caitlin, it’s okay 🙂 You can definitely make them in the oven, I just recommend stirring about halfway through and if your oven has a grill function, I would bake them on that function for the last 2-3 minutes until crispy.
